Know when your files need a bit of maintenance…Paper Tiger has Action Dates! A little maintenance goes a long way. Clean out files on a set schedule (use retention guidelines), move files to archives, stop continually buying more cabinets.
When you create a new Item, set an Action Date to review the Item or take action on the Item. Paper Tiger will remind you within the Reminders Horizon you have set in your Database Preferences. There are two ways to receive reminders on an item:
You can choose the DATABASE HORIZON that will determine the time frame in which Paper Tiger will look to give you a reminder for that particular Database.

can you have uk format dates?
What if I want NO action dates ...? How do I accomplish that?
Tony,
Hold on tight, we are planning on supporting universal date formats in the future.
Jane,
If you do not want any dates, do not give your items an action date
I like the action date feature very much. And on my home computer I noticed the reminder orange colored bar across the top of the screen and I was very pleased because I knew it would get my attention. However today only one day later, I am on my acct and I now no longer see the reminder bar at the top asking me to click on the link to see what reminders I am within the window of.I also sometimes had a date of 1969 entered into a new item for which I had entered no action date.
Are you all having technical problems getting the reminder to work?
I could not use the action date. I double clicked on Nov 10 and nothing happened. I like the feature if it worked.
Paula,
Please email support@thepapertiger.com so we can try figure out what is going on. Please note that this problem is typically seen on older browsers. Here is a list of browsers that it should work with:
