How do I change my computer name?

Windows XP

1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.

2. Click the Computer Name tab, and then click Change.

3. Type the new computer name in the Computer name dialog box.

4. Click OK two times, and then restart the computer.

 

Windows Vista and Seven

1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
