My import failed, why?

We are committed to ensuring that your data remains the same as you migrate from Paper Tiger Desktop to Paper Tiger Online. The Database Imports can fail for a number of reasons. Some reasons may include:

1.  Pending Transfers:

For data to be consistent within a database file, all pending transactions must be confirmed. For the database file you are importing to be consistent, it must not contain any pending transfers. To learn more about how to clear pending transfers and preparing your database files for imports, visit Preparing your database for Paper Tiger Online and What types of files can I import

2.  Corrupt file:

Sometimes database files can become corrupt or inconsistent, particularly old archived database files. You may sometimes be required to make a new backup of your Paper Tiger database for it to import successfully. To learn more about how to create a new backup file visit Preparing your database for Paper Tiger Online

3.  File type:

4.  3.0 or Older Database: Effective July 31, 2014, we will no longer be able to import your 3.0 or older database.

If you have trouble importing your database into Paper Tiger Online, please open a tech support request and attach your database. Our tech support team will be able to import your old Paper Tiger version 4 database (version 3 and older until July 31, 2014). If you need to know where your database is located, please see our knowledge base article Where can I find my Paper Tiger Database Backups?
