How does the affiliate program work?

Here's an example scenario. Joe is a Paper Tiger Affiliate, and has an affiliate banner on his blog (which we provide you with). One of Joe's readers, Sally, clicks on the banner wanting to find out more about Paper Tiger. By clicking on the affiliate banner, Paper Tiger inserts a "cookie" on Sally's browser with Joe's affiliate information. This "cookie" is valid for 60 days.

If Sally signs up for Paper Tiger Online within those 60 days, we will make note of it on our affiliate system. If Sally keeps her Paper Tiger account (whether paid monthly or yearly) for more than 3 months, Joe gets a 15% commission on the total yearly value of the plan. If Sally signed up for a Pro plan, the value is calculated as ($9 x $12 = $108) and Joe will get a payout of $16.20 (15% of $108).

How do I sign up?

You must have a Paper Tiger Online account (either free or paid) to participate in the affiliate program. You can register for a Paper Tiger account on our Pricing page. From there, you can navigate to the Accounts tab within the application and you'll find a section there with instructions on how to sign up. It's free and only takes 60 seconds!

1. Sign up for a Paper Tiger Online account, this can be a free or paid account (skip this step if you already have an existing Paper Tiger Online account!)
2. Once you are logged into Paper Tiger Online, Navigate to the Account tab (top right corner on the Dashboard)
3. Click the "Sign up for the Affiliate Program" link at the bottom of the page
4. Fill out the signup form
5. Place a banner or text link on your site, blog, facebook, or twitter  (you will find this banner or text link from the Affiliates Program link that will show up at the top of the Dashboard page after completing your personal information)
6. Make money on every customer that signs up from your affiliate link!

TIP: The Paper Tiger Online Affiliate program will also give you commission on Paper Tiger Desktop sales if you are already part of the Paper Tiger Desktop affiliate program. How do I get paid?

We will distribute payment through PayPal any time you are eligible to be paid. We will contact you with details once you are eligible to recieve a payment.
