Use Tabs or Labels with the corresponding Location index number to identify your physical items.
Go to the database with the Location that needs printed tabs or labels
1. Click the "Print Tabs/Labels" tab to the left of your screen
2. On the 'Print tabs and labels for your file folders' page, select the label size/format you want. Select from the following options:
Self cut tabs: these are the size of 8167 (1/2 x 1 3/4) and made available so that if you do not have Avery labels, you can print tabs on printer paper, then cut out to place in the hanging folder insert tabs. This size will only print the Location and Item number, and will not print the Item Name because there is not enough room.
Avery template labels:
5160 (1 x 2 5/8) (address label size)
5167, 5267 or 8167 (1/2 x 1 3/4) (return label size and also approx the same size as our pre-printed perforated tabs).
This size will only print the Location and Item number, and will not print the Item Name because there is not enough room.
5366 or 8366 and other Avery numbers this same size (2/3 x 3 7/16)
3. Next, check the location for which you want to print, and the range of Labels you want to print (Default range is entire Location capacity)
4. Click the "Generate Tabs PDF" button to generate the PDF file with your labels. The PDF should open within your browser if it has a Adobe PDF plug-in, otherwise you will be prompted to save the file to your computer. To print or save the label file, use the PDF icons provided.
