What does it cost when we lose documents or have to spend time looking for documents?

Average cost per hour per employee is $22 multiplied by the average of 150 hours per year spent looking for lost documents. = $3,300 for just ONE YEAR.

Of course, that doesn't count the cost of multiple hanging folders due to duplicating files, or reprinting or recreating a document when you can't find a file.

According to the National Association of Professional Organizers, it costs $120 in labor to track down a misplaced document or $250 in labor to recreate it.
